Estonia’s recovery…

leave a comment »

Estonian Finance Minister Jurgen Ligi photographed in his office in Tallinn, Estonia on 23 April 2010. As defense minister Ligi ordered the Russian "Bronze Soldier" statue moved from downtown to a graveyard on the outskirts of Tallinn.

HELSINKI-I’m currently working on an article about Estonia’s recovery from the global finance crisis. Unemployment may still be high, but the country is officially considered to be on its way to recovery. I’ve just returned from Tallinn where I’ve been researching the article. Tallinn is a city a I’ve been more than a dozen times since 2005. Every time I arrive there is something different. I always manage to get a little lost in a city of 400,000. This will be a nice follow up to the article on Latvia’s financial crisis that I did last month.
